Doors

I have a fascination with doors, especially colorful ones.  I think they can add a lot of character to a building or home.   I also love when old doors are used an architectural piece in a home.  I have one at the end of my upstairs hallway which has a mirror in it.  My brother-in-law calls it the secret portal. I've been reading The Book of Awakening: Having the Life You Want by Being Present to the Life You Have by Mark Nepo.  The meditation for this morning had to do with crossing over thresholds and looking at problems or situations in your life that keep arising.  Acting as a messenger, I ask myself what doors do I need to open to get over a recurring problem?  On the flip side, acting true to my questioning sarcastic nature I also thought perhaps there are some doors I need to close.  I think I'll start with my teenage daughters bedroom door.
